On November 9, 2007 Launch 5 and her crew participated undercover in a multi-agency drill designed to test radiation detection equipment in a real world situation. Working with the USCG, NYPD, FDNY, NJSP and Nassau County PD, Launch 5 was the radioactive source in a "blind test" of all agency's test equiment.
