Division 6 (1-SR) held its Change of Watch on January 15, 2006. From the Coast Guard, we were privileged to have the Capt. Glenn Wiltshire; Captain of the Port of New York in attendance as well as Chief Warrant Officer Mark Ferriera.
Greg Porteus and the crew of Launch 5 were especially honored when Capt. Wiltshire made a special presentation to Launch 5 - the facility. Greg Porteus received from Capt. Wiltshire, on behalf of the Launch, the very prestigious Sector New York Challenge Coin. This award was presented to Launch 5 for all it's service and accomplishments. Capt. Wiltshire pointed out that this was the first time that a facility was the recipient of such an award.
